Finally, a Big Week for the DEMs!

First up was Hillary’s take-down of DT last week, in which she used his own words against him.  She did not deliver her speech looking for laughs; she allowed the laughs to come from her audience, as they reflected on DT’s words.  Masterfully done!

Then on Tuesday came her ‘presumptive’ win of the nomination.  An historical accomplishment indeed!

Thursday Elizabeth Warren delivered an incredible verbal slice-and-dice of DT on television, a truly amazing speech, with a take-no-prisoners feel.

VP Biden followed Senator Warren, giving another boost to Hillary, this in a slightly more humorous but equally scathing opinion of the GOP’s pick.

Next up was President Obama’s endorsement of Hillary, delivered from the White House.  President Obama, in his endorsement, described Hillary Clinton as the most highly qualified person to run for the office of President in history.  Ever.  No hesitation, no qualifiers, no winks of the eye.

And on The Tonight Show Thursday night, President Obama put in a masterful performance, with just the right amount of — I hesitate to use the word — snark.

And those were only the highlights, for sure.

As an aging Hippie flowerchild, back in the 80s we’d simply dismiss DT as a Turkey, and proceed to ignore him.  However, DT is a thin-orange-skinned psychopathic megalomaniacal narcissistic racist bully; ignoring him is simply not enough anymore.

DT says and does anything to make a splash, then tries to walk it all back with the usual disclaimer: “that’s not what I meant,” or “it was misconstrued!”  For example, with his airplane in the background, DT asks, “Where’s my African American?” His African American?  Does he own that person?  It’s right there on the video tape, for all to see.

Drumpf is only the latest GOP representative to use the age-old concept of “Who are you going to believe, me or your own two eyes (and/or ears)?” But DT uses it to an incredible degree, hoping that the viewing public has such a short term memory that they won’t remember his words and won’t watch the video tape of his actions.

As a sports announcer used to say, “Let’s go to the video tape.”  If we do that for each statement DT makes, it becomes clear that he will say anything, believing that the media will fall in line behind him and agree that it was misconstrued.
